The District Clerk's office has moved!!
We're still in the historic Clay County Courthouse, we've just moved down the hall to the former Adult Probation office.
The closest entrance is now on the west side of the building, facing N. Main Street.
The District Clerk's office is a passport application acceptance facility.
We accept applications by appointment only.

What does a District Clerk do?

Serves as clerk and custodian of all records for the District Courts.

Indexes and secures all court records, collects filing fees, and handles funds held in litigation and money awarded to minors.

Coordinates the jury panel selection process.

May process passport applications.

Manages court registry funds.
